Is it too early to talk about Christmas?

Whatever your answer to that question is, Winter is on its way, and so are all the fun actvities that appear during the build-up to Christmas day.

To kick-start the countdown, we have listed five Christmas markets that will be appearing across Berkshire in the coming weeks.

1. Windsor Christmas Gift Fair

Location: Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 5EZ

When: Saturday, November 20 - Sunday, Novmber 21, from 10am until 4pm.

According to UKcraftfairs.com, the fair is in a "terrific venue", with shoppers looking to "celebrate good things for Christmas, from Food and Drink to Arts Crafts and Gifts, set in floored and heated marquees connected to the Grandstand.

"With the racecourse as the backdrop to this event, you can enjoy browsing, sampling and buying from a mouth watering array of stallholders."

2. Newbury Victorian Christmas Fayre 

Location: Northbrook Street, Newbury, RG14 1

When: December 3 - 5, from 10am to 8pm.

Visitnewbury.org said: "Save the date for the first themed event of its kind for Newbury!

"A glorious three-day Victorian Christmas Fayre will be coming to Newbury this year as part of an enhanced festive offering for the town.

"The fayre is set to include a wide range of market stalls with traders dressed head-to-toe in typical Victorian attire, alongside Victorian-themed roving performers, a Victorian carousel, live music and entertainment and, of course, Father Christmas, helping to make this a truly unforgettable event for Newbury."

3. Sindlesham Christmas Market

Location: Sindlesham Court, Mole Road, Sindlesham, RG41 5EA

When: Saturday, November 13 - Sunday, November 14, from 10am to 4pm.

This market promises stalls selling jewellery, cosmetics, dog gifts, homemade face masks, pebble art, table runners, ladies clothing, candles, handbags, baby gifts, reed diffusers, greetings cards, and party items, as well as a local author and his books, food items, and much more including a huge tombola stall.

The event is also free to access, so no need to book in advance.

4. Christmas Market, Thatcham

When: Saturday, December 11, from 12pm to 4pm.

According to the event's facebook page, the event promises "A festive and fun filled day. 

"Come and join us for our Christmas Market, with stalls, warming food and mulled wine, music and much more!"

The event is also free to access, so no need to book in advance.

5. Wokingham Winter Carnival

Location: A number of roads across the Wokingham Town Centre will be holding stalls, ncluding Peach place, Denmark Street, and Broad Street.

When: Sunday, November 28.

The carnival, which was first launched in Wokingham back in 1994, will be making a return to the town this year with about 80 stalls, funfair rides, carol singing and a big Christmas-tree switch-on.

The event is also free to access, so no need to book in advance.
