Fancy something spicy this weekend? We’ve got you covered.

The Reading Chronicle asked what are the best places to get a curry in Reading and dozens of you answered.

The most popular among readers was Zyka, in Tilehurst, and Reading Tandoori, in Oxford Road.

Unsurprisingly, both have been rated 4.5 / 5 stars on Tripadvisor and Zyka won Curry Life's Best Restaurant Award 2019 as well as being shortlisted for the Best Newcomer in the British Curry Awards 2019.

House of Flavours, and Indian restaurant and bar in King's Road, was mentioned a number of times as was Clay’s Hyderabadi Kitchen in London Street.

One reader wrote on Facebook: “[It’s] not for a boozed up curry though, this place is special and deserves a sit-down night out.”

Then there was Banarasi Kitchen, in Norfolk Road, housed at the Spread Eagle pub.
