AN OXFORD Road-based business has been fined for its ‘nuisance’ fridges.
Bosses at M. A. Y. Oxford Limited, the company in charge of the Turkish Halal Food Centre at 133-137 Oxford Road, admitted two charges of failing to comply with a council demand relating to the store’s refrigeration units.

A court filing indicates Reading Borough Council served notices regarding recurring nuisance from the fridges at the property in February and March 2021.
As a result of these guilty pleas, the company was fined £500.

The business was also told to fork out £300 in court fees following a hearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 24.
