A fire broke out in a Reading flat on Sunday, requiring emergency crews from four fire stations.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the first floor bedroom window in Shaftesbury Road after 8.30pm.

Equipped with breathing apparatus and two hoses, four firefighters entered the building and extinguished the fire over the course of almost one and a half hours.

The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews, from Whitley Wood, Caversham Road, Wokingham and Bracknell fire stations, then ventilated the area.
