Goalkeeper Rafael Cabral is the latest in a long line of Reading FC players heading for the treatment table as the injury crisis at the club deepens.

The Royals stopper suffered an injury to his hand after reportedly punching a tactics board out of frustration following QPR's late leveller at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday.

The Brazillian is now the ninth first-team player to be ruled out through injury.

Attacking trio Yakou Meite, Femi Azeez and Lucas Joao have all previously been ruled out for several month.

Meite and Joao are not expected to return this calendar year, with Azeez hopeful of a return ahead of the festive period.

Defender Tom McIntyre is also expected to be ruled out of action until the end of Autumn at the earliest.

Andy Rinomhota is vying for a return to the action tonight after he suffered an ankle injury which ruled him out of the 3-3 draw with QPR on the weekend.

New signings Scott Dann and Danny Drinkwater are building their own fitness after their arrivals this summer, with manager Veljko Paunovic erring on the side of caution ahead of offering the pair their debuts.

Felipe Araruna is back in full training and is also building his fitness as he aims to make a comeback from a long-term injury.
