A gang broke into a home in Reading and stole jewellery from the owners in the middle of the day.

Four men forced entry to the property on Southcote Lane at around 1pm on Friday before making off with the items in a BMW.

All suspects were described as white. The first was seen wearing a light coloured hat, a blue two toned jacket and black trousers.

The second man wore a black long-sleeved top, trousers and a light coloured hat.

Police described the third suspect as of a chubby build and wearing black long sleeved top, jeans and dark coloured hat.

The fourth man was of a slim build and wore a blue long sleeved top, blue trousers, shoes, a grey hat and blue face mask.

The BMW was a blue 3 series.

Investigating officer PC James Packman, based at Reading Police Station said: "I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this incident, or who may have information, CCTV Images, doorbell camera or Dashcam images to please contact us by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference number: 43210395879.
