A WOMAN who bit a man and ran away from security at a local supermarket will spend six weeks in jail for her crime.
Nadine Jemmott, of Granville Road, Southcote, was outside Sainsbury’s on Friar Street on June 30, 2021, when she attacked the man.

The 37-year-old initially pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating but was convicted at Reading Magistrates’ Court last week.
Here, she was told she will spend six weeks behind bars due to the severity of the offence.
A court file indicated the offence was aggravated by the fact the woman bit the victim during a pandemic and because she was trying to get away from security while they were ‘trying to do their job’.

No order for costs was made.
Jemmott appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 25.
