VANDALS smashed a window of a local convenience store to take boxes of cigarettes, police have confirmed.
The front window of the Co-op store on The Square in Pangbourne -- which is west of Reading -- was broken in the early hours of this morning.
Two police officers were spotted guarding the store, which had closed following the incident, at around 8.30am this morning.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police was called at around 3.10am today (2/9) to a report of a burglary at Co-op in The Square, Pangbourne.
“A quantity of cigarettes were taken.
“An investigation is ongoing.
“Anyone with information can call 101 or make a report online quoting reference 43210393489.”
