A schoolboy found guilty of murdering teenager Olly Stephens has applied to appeal his conviction.

Olly Stephens, 13, died when he was stabbed twice in the chest and back after being ambushed at Bugs Bottom fields in Caversham on January 3.

A couple whose mobile catering business collapsed during the pandemic have opened a new Caversham restaurant in time for Reading Festival.

Cancelled gigs left owners Hema and Mark Faulkner in debt last year, but Hema said they were determined to keep serving authentic Mauritian cuisine.

Reading Blue Coat School teacher jailed

Reading Chronicle:

A former teacher at Reading Blue Coat School has been jailed for up to 16 years after sexually abusing two boys in the 1980s.

John Imeson, of Fitzroy Crescent, Woodley, was convicted of 13 sexual offences, including buggery, indecent assault, and indecency with a child following a seven-day trial in May.

Thatcham rape: Man from Bracknell arrested

A MAN from Bracknell has been arrested in connection with a rape investigation in Thatcham.

This comes after police received a report a woman was raped in a layby on the A4, opposite the Mercure Hotel off Cox's Lane in Thatcham on Monday, August 16
