The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ CourtFriday, May 21

JORDAN HINDS, 27, of Holberton Road, Reading, admitted possession of cannabis in Reading on October 9, 2019. He was also convicted of two counts of driving under the influence of cocaine and one count of driving under the influence of cannabis on the same date. He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £530, ordered to pay court costs of £620 and told to pay a £53 victim surcharge.
ROBERT COOKE, 22, of Amersham Road, Caversham, Reading, admitted possession of five bags of cocaine in Reading on June 9, 2019. He was fined £600, told to pay a £60 victim surcharge, and ordered to pay £85 in court costs. 
MARK JEMMOTT, 42, of Earley Road, Reading, admitted assaulting a man in Reading on April 13, 2020. He was fined £80, made to pay a £34 victim surcharge, and £85 court costs. 
MATTHEW GARDENER, 27, of Beecham Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 20, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £6.20 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180. 
KURT LANCASTER, 21, of Oxford Road, Tilehurst, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 20, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £2.90 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and costs of £180. 
STEPHEN MCCAULAY, 46, of Bath Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 19, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £25.90 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180. He was also convicted of subsequently giving a false name and address to a railway officer in Reading on November, 19, 2020. He was fined £50 for this offence.
DORA OYEGBORZI, 38, of Romany Lane, Tilehurst, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 20, 2020. She was fined £220, made to pay £42.90 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180. She was also subsequently convicted of giving a false name and address to a railway officer in Reading on November, 20, 2020. She was fined £50 for this offence.
NAR PUN, 66, of Essex Street, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Blackwater on October 15, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £8.40 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180.
NAJI SAFE, 20, of Blagrave Street, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 19, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £11.90 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180.
STACEY SIMMONDS, 43, of Pell Street, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 19, 2020. She was fined £220, made to pay £4.60 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180.
DANIEL SULLIVAN, 30, of Beecham Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Slough on September 16, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £21 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180.
WILLIAM WHYTE, 40, of Bodin Gardens, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a railway without having paid for a ticket in Reading on November 20, 2020. He was fined £220, made to pay £9.40 in compensation, a £34 victim surcharge and court costs of £180.
