Reading announced the signing of Justine Vanhaevermaet on Tuesday evening as they put together their final preparations ahead of the 2021/22 Women’s Super League season.

The Belgian international becomes the Royals sixth arrival of the summer after signing a two-year deal with the club.

Vanhaevermaet joins after leaving Norwegian side LSK Kvinner where she spent the duration of last season.

A 29-year-old forward, Vanhaevermaet will hope to bring an attacking influence on a Reading side who struggled to convert chances last season.

The Royals become the first English side for the Belgian after spells in Norway, Germany and her native Belgium.

A former Anderlecht player, she joins Chloe Peplow, Gemma Evans, Natasha Dowie, Faye Bryson and Olympic gold medallist Deanne Rose as the new faces in the Reading squad ahead of the new season.
