Rafael: 4/10
Not the best of games for the Brazilian shot-stopper. His distribution was particularly worrying, particularly when he played Liam Moore into all sorts of trouble at 2-0 down.
Yiadom: 5/10
Not his best display. Struggled to get forward as he normally does so well and was part of a very rocky Reading defence.
Moore: 5/10
A slightly erratic display from the captain saw him dragged out of position on numerous occasions but he produced an early contender for goal of the season to give Royals a glimmer of hope at 3-1 down.
Morrison: 4/10
Won the majority of his duels from open play but, like the rest of the defence, simply has to do better from set pieces.
McIntyre: 4/10
Showed his versatility and operated in both centre-back and left-back on the night. Was unfortunate not to score in the first half when his strike was deflected away for a corner.
Bristow: 5/10
Solid first-half display from the teenager who has stepped up to first-team football really well. A very neat assist for Femi Azeez’ goal before being hooked at half time.
Laurent: 5/10
Used his physicality well to get win the ball back in midfield but misplaced a few passes when Royals were presented an opportunity to break forward.
Rinomhota: 5/10
Defensively solid as always but was guilty of holding onto the ball for too long on a number of occasions.
Swift: 5/10
Failed to hit the heights he reached in the opening two games of the season and struggled to create any clear-cut chances.
Puscas: 5/10
An improved display from the Romanian international who showed good physicality to hold the ball up when required. Should have scored in the first half but thankfully his miss-kick fell to Azeez to bury into the top corner.
Azeez: 6/10
Energetic first-half performance and took his goal really well with a neat finish into the top corner. Tailed off slightly in the second half and struggled to get into the game.
Dele-Bashiru: 5/10
Got himself into some really good positions and certainly looked like he’ll be a valuable asset for the remainder of the season.
