For Bygones this week we publish part two of happy couples that tied the knot in 1982.

The Chronicle’s April 2 edition featured 20 couples. We published part one last week.

Frederick Gaston, of Southcote, married Marie Hutchins, from Reading, at Southcote Mission.

The bride was given away by her father and wore a full-length white gown trimmed with lace, and carried a bouquet of mixed pink and white flowers.

United Reformed Church, in Spencers Wood, hosted the wedding of John Braine and Gail June Palmer, both from Reading.

The bride wore a white Edwardian dress and carried a bouquet of white carnations and freesias.

The wedding of Peter Roger Jefferey, from Caversham, and Patricia Ann Whistler, from Reading, took place at Park United Reformed Church, while Tilehurst Methodist Church played host to the nuptials of Richard Vernon Spears and Jane Ann Chedzey.

Barry William Martin married Pamela Harris, at St Barnabas’ Church, Emmer Green. The bride was given away by her father and the bridesmaids were Jackie Hayden, Deborah Ward and Lindsay Hayden, while Nigel Martin was the best man.

Alistair Toop and Janet Radomski tied the knot at St John’s Church, Woodley. The bride was given away by Edwin Harris and she wore a full-length white dress, holding a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

The wedding of Stephen Edward Townsend and Diane Slade tool place at St Michael’s Church, Tilehurst, while Martin James Samson married Carol Jenifer John at St George’s Church.

Stephen John Wylde tied the knot with Sarah Louise Withington, both from Reading, at St Barnabas’ Church, in Elm Road, while Alan Niel Paxford married Karen Melinda Williams at All Saints’ Church, Reading.
