Houses in Caversham could be demolished and replaced with two blocks of retirement homes, under new proposals.

RBC’s Local Plan states that there is a need for this particular type of residential use.

The site will be accessed via a continuation of the new access road at Henley Road for the development of an 82-bed care home at 199-203 Henley Road.

Another nearby plan was approved last year, with the council granting permission for nine houses to be built at the back of 209-219 Henley Road.
