TRAVELLERS have set up camp in a Reading park reportedly leaving 'human faeces' behind.

A woman expressed her anger of the encampment on social media, claiming her dog rolled in 'human poo' after visiting Palmer Park.

She warned locals to 'keep away from Palmer Park' due to travellers using the field as a toilet.

Reading Borough Council said they are aware of the encampment but don't know if they have left yet.

A spokeswoman said: "We have received no further information to suggest that the encampment has left Palmer Park, so at this time it is understood that we have four caravans on the land.
