Reading FC goalkeeper Jokull Andresson has signed a new three-new deal and departed on loan for the season.

The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a new deal that will see him remain as a Royal until the summer of 2024.

Andresson has agreed to spend the 2021-22 season on a campaign-long loan with League One newcomers Morecambe, having spent a period of time training at the club during pre-season.

He has previously spent time in Lancashire with Morecambe, having joined on an emergency loan deal.
