The window was spotted dangling from the property sparking fears it could fall down and shatter.
A fireman was then seen climbing up a ladder to reach the loose window frame before they came back down and emergency services disposed of it.
Officers swept up some broken glass which had already fallen onto the pavement before departing the scene.
