Royals boss Veljko Paunovic has said that remains unsure whether the club will pursue the signatures of trialists Kyle Edwards and Achraf Lazaar.

The duo both started in the 3-0 pre-season defeat to West Ham United at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Wednesday night.

Speaking after the defeat, the Royals boss confirmed that a decision has yet to be made on the future of the pair.

“The players know our situation but it's good for them to be around the team and play games.

“It depends on what we can do.

"When the moment comes, and it'll probably be next week, we will make decisions if this is enough or if we need more."

Paunovic will have to wait until next week to find out what the club will be able to do in the transfer market.

The Royals are currently one of three clubs in the Championship to have been placed under an embargo by the EFL for breaching Profit and Sustainability guidelines.

The club hope to be given further clarification on possible restrictions next week.
