The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

April 26
NATHAN OCHILTREE, 23, of Urquhart Road, Thatcham, admitted to assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Newbury on April 24, to assaulting an emergency worker, and to possession of cannabis on the same date and location. He was sentenced to prison for 38 weeks due to the severity of the offence. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100.
CLIVE ADAMS, 33, of Ashampstead Road, Reading, admitted to assault by beating and to causing criminal damage to a property, namely a front door and a mobile phone in Reading on October 10, 2019. He was ordered to carry out 120 hours on unpaid work, pay compensation of £200, and pay court costs of £200. 
RYAN COX, 42, of St Marys Avenue, Purley-on-Thames, Reading, admitted to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order on three occasions in November 2020, February 2021, and March 2021. He was ordered to pay court costs of £60. 

April 27
NASIR RASUL, 27, of Junction Road, Reading, was convicted of driving under the influence of cannabis on Acre Road, Reading on December 1, 2019. His driving record was endorsed with 10 points, fined £500, and made to pay costs of £500. 
DMITRIJS ROMANUKS, 36, of Old Stocks Farm, Aldermaston, Reading, admitted to assault by beating in Reading on April 1, 2021. He was sentenced to prison for 16 weeks due to the severity of the offence. He was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge. 
LIEM SHARP, 21, of Kingsford Close, Woodley, was convicted of driving under the influence of cannabis on Cedar Road in Reading on July 2, 2019, and of possession of a blade in a public place on the same date and location. He was banned from driving for 18 months, ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work, made to pay £775 in court costs, and a £90 victim surcharge. 
HANNAH GILLETT, 39, of Newtown Road, Newbury, was convicted of stealing DVDs worth £47.95 from WH Smiths Newbury on July 13, 2020. She was ordered to take part in a maximum of 35 rehabilitation days, ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge, and told to pay court costs of £300. 
ASHLEY SMITH, 33, of Newtown Road, Newbury, admitted stealing DVDs worth £47.95 from WH Smiths Newbury on July 13, 2020. He also admitted to five other counts of theft, stealing items from stores across Newbury between November 15, 2020 and December 19, 2020. He was ordered to take part in a maximum of 20 rehabilitation days, ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge, and told to pay court costs of £85.
