A MAN has avoided jail after throwing a bloodied rag at a police officer.
Ryan Gumbs, of Admirals Court, Reading, threw the bloodied bandage at a police constable in Slough on October 30, 2020.
He caused ‘more than minor psychological distress’ to the victim in doing so, it was stated in a court results list.

The 25-year-old also admitted to using threatening behaviour to cause harassment or alarm the same police officer in Slough on the same day.
Gumbs was sentenced to ten weeks in prison suspended for 18 months.
He was also required to take part in up to 40 rehabilitation activity days and ordered to pay compensation of £200 to the victim.

In addition, the Reading man was made to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.
He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 9.
