AN ATTEMPTED armed robbery in Reading earlier this week as led to police seeking witnesses of the attack.
Between 9.15pm and 9.45pm on Tuesday, June 15, the victim, aged in his 20s, was with another man in his 20s on Erleigh Road, Reading, when four teenage boys approached them.

One of the attackers grabbed the victim, holding a knife to his stomach and shouting at him. Luckily however the victim broke away and ran into the Co-Op on Erleigh Road to call the police.
The four attackers, all described as teenagers, fled the scene.
Fortunately, nothing was stolen and the two men were not injured.
The armed attacker was described as South Asian, about 16 years old and approximately 5ft 8ins tall.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood up and a face covering.
The other boys involved were also described as South Asian and of similar ages.

Staff investigator Zoe Purnell, based at Reading police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident, or anyone who saw the boy matching the description in the area at the time, to please get in touch.
