1. Woman kicked out of Wetherspoons for wearing 'inappropriate' top

A WOMAN feels infuriated after claiming she was kicked out of Reading Wetherspoons for being dressed 'inappropriately'. 

Mollie Wood said she visited Back of Beyond Wetherspoons in Reading on Sunday at 8pm.

She posted a video on TikTok about her experience of how she was denied entry because her cleavage was "comparable to men taking their tops off".

2. I walked around Reading to see if e-scooters were a problem in the town centre

3. Plans to demolish B&M and Halfords in retail park overhaul set for vote

 

Reading Chronicle:

 

Plans to demolish a retail park in south Reading and replace it with logistics warehouses could get the go-ahead next week.

Brunel Retail Park, on Rose Kiln Lane, which has stores including B&M, Halfords, Pets at Home, Next and Go Outdoors, could be transformed into two logistics warehouses under the plans from owners Mayfair Capital Investment Management.

4. Teenage boy rushed to hospital after being kicked in the head until unconscious

 

Reading Chronicle:

 

A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after being kicked in the head until he lost consciousness.

Between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, June 12, a 17-year-old boy was approached by three boys in Long Barn Lane Recreation Ground in Reading.

He was then chased by one of the boys causing him to fall to the floor.

5. Man who bought sweets for children he travelled to Reading to rape is jailed

 

Reading Chronicle:

 

A MAN who travelled to Reading with the intention of raping two children has been thrown behind bars for eight years.

Shahmaan Ahmed, of Roman Road, London, believed the children to be three and eight years old when he travelled from the capital in August 2020 and even bought sweets for the youngsters.

The children were not real, but Ahmed, who also brought 'sexual item' with him to the meeting, was arrested by officers from Thames Valley’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team.
