A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital after being kicked in the head until he lost consciousness.

Between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, June 12, a 17-year-old boy was approached by three boys in Long Barn Lane Recreation Ground in Reading.

He was then chased by one of the boys causing him to fall to the floor.

The attacker then kicked the victim in the head until he lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The victim then discovered his phone and personal items had been stolen.

Police said the offender that kicked the victim is described as a white boy, aged between 14 to 16-years-old, approximately 5ft 7ins tall and slim.

He had blonde hair with curls on the top combed to the side, shaved sides and clean shaven.

He was wearing a grey t-shirt, grey tracksuit bottom shorts, grey and white trainers and was riding a grey and white Carrera mountain bike.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Jennifer Cox, based at Reading police station, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim.

“I am appealing to anybody who was in the vicinity of Long Barn Lane Recreation Ground at the time of the incident who believes they witnessed this incident to please contact police.

“I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who recognises the description of the suspect to please get in touch.
