Walk-in vaccinations have been expanded to all 18-24 year-olds in Wokingham borough.

Young adults in the age demographic have been urged to receive their first dose of the moderna vaccine over a two week period.

The vaccination programme is taking place at the Bulmershe Leisure Centre in Woodlands Avenue, Woodley (postcode: RG5 3EU) from 9.30am to 8.30pm.

The programme will run each day until Sunday, June 27. The Leisure Centre does not have a car park, but drivers can park their cars at the Woodley United FC/University of Reading car park in Woodlands Avenue (postcode: RG6 1FR).

There is no need to book, but the young people will need to bring a valid ID and proof of address, as the programme is being run exclusively for 18-24 year-olds in the borough.

The borough covers Wokingham, Woodley and Earley, Lower Earley, Shinfield, Twyford, Wargrave, Remenham and Ruscombe, Finchampstead, Arborfield and parts of Crowthorne.

The programme only covers the first dose of the vaccine. The 18-24 year-olds will then need to obtain their second dose by booking  a vaccination appointment on the NHS website. 

Those aged 25 and over must also book their vaccine on the NHS website.
