A STRING of sexual assaults in Reading has prompting police to launch an investigation.

Thames Valley Police said they have received reports from women aged between their early 20s and late 30s about being sexually assaulted.

Between March and June, sexual assaults have happened in Norcot, Tilehurst, Kentwood and Southcote.

The most recent incident happened on Thursday, June 10 near the junctions of Circuit Lane and Leibenrood Road at 10am and 10.10am.

In each of the cases a man has ridden up behind the victims and hit them on the bottom with considerable force before the offender has made off.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his 20s, with brown hair, on a dark coloured bike. He was also believed to be wearing a black baseball cap.

Investigating officer, PC Adam Child based at Reading police station, said: “I appreciate that this may come as a concern to people, but I would like to reassure everyone that we are investigating thoroughly and take reports of this nature very seriously.

“I am appealing for witnesses to these offences or to anyone else who may have been a victim.

“I am also appealing for anyone who was driving on the junctions of Circuit Lane and Leibenrood Road on Thursday to please check any dash-cam footage that may capture this latest incident.
