Multiparc, the new warehouse development in Woodley, is set to open on July 19 and has already agreed a pre-let for unit 6, a 11,619 sq ft warehouse on a 15 year lease.

James Fife, director at LCP, which owns and manages the industrial park, said it had invested £4.14m in the development.

Reading Chronicle:

He said: “We’re pleased to have completed the letting to Travis Perkins six weeks ahead of schedule.

"The number of enquiries we have had about the units we are developing at Multiparc suggests there is strong demand for units of this size and we’re confident we’ll sign up tenants quickly on completion of the construction for the second phase."

The site appealed to Travis Perkins for its close proximity to the A329 and the M4, Heathrow and and the national motorway system.

Branch manager Samantha Nice said “We can’t wait to open the doors of our bigger, brand new branch at Reading Woodley.

"We’ve recruited an extra four colleagues to join our fantastic team of 12.

"The boom in the construction sector makes this an exciting time to be joining Travis Perkins and we’ll be investing in training for these new colleagues, which means that we’ll be able to continue to provide expert knowledge and advice across extended opening hours to the local community when the site opens in July.”

Travis Perkins Woodley will be located at Unit C, Headley Park 8, Headley Park East, Woodley RG5 4SW.
