A MAN has been arrested after two others were left injured in two fights near Oxford Road.

Thames Valley Police said the two men were attacked in Reading on Thursday, April 22.

It happened about 2pm when three males were involved in a fight near vehicles parked in Beresford Road.

Two of the men fled from this first fight along Beresford Road heading away from Oxford Road.

The one man left at the scene was then involved in a further fight with a separate man and the fight moved to Oxford Road near Western Elms Avenue pharmacy.

Victims have not come forward but police believe they were left with injuries to their faces after being attacked.

A 29-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was released under investigation.

Investigating officer PC Eric Harcup, of the Incident and Crime Response team based at Reading police station, said: “I am looking for witnesses who saw the altercations, and those involved, to come forward to provide any information they may have.

"I’d also like to speak to anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the offence who may have captured the incident on their dash-cam footage."
