The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

February 5:
NATHAN HARLEY, 46, of Gratwicke Road, Reading, convicted of criminal damage to a door worth £84.92 in Reading on January 5, 2020. Given a conditional discharge for six months. Must pay £84.92 compensation. also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge and £400 court costs.

ROSS MARCH, 44, of Southcote Lane, Reading, convicted of not having a valid ticket for train travel in Reading on August 18, 2020. Fined £220. Must Pay £18.60. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

MANSUR ALI, 43, of Connaught Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway Service without paying the £8.40 train fare in Reading on August 20, 2020. Fined £440. Also ordered to pay £8.40 compensation. Must also pay £44 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

TRISTAN BOX, 43, of Kings Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway Service without paying the £25.90 train fare in Reading on August 11, 2020. Fined £440. Also ordered to pay £25.90 compensation. Must also pay £44 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

MARIUSZ CIECIWA, 32, of Avon Place, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway Service without paying the £9 train fare in Reading on August 14. Fined £440 and must pay £9 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

SCOTT GIALS, 26, of Northway in Newbury, convicted of not having a valid ticket for train travel in Reading on August 6, 2020. Fined £220 and ordered to pay £6.40 compensation. Must also pay £34 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

WALDEMAR SIEMINSKI, 44, of Oxford Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway Service without paying the £9.60 train fare in Reading on August 10, 2020. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £9.60 train fare. Must also pay £44 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

RYAN SZRAM, 25, of Waller Court, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway Service without paying the £15.70 train fare in Reading on August 26, 2020. Fined £440 and must pay £15.70 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

BEN WICKSON, 31, of Prospect Street, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway Service without paying the £5.80 train fare in Reading on August 19, 2020. Fined £440 and must pay £5.80 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £180 court costs.

KEIRAN CLARK, 22, of Newtown Road, Reading, admitted stealing electrical items worth £212.94 from Sainsbury’s in Hectors Way, Newbury, on November 18, 2020. Also admitted stealing electrical items worth £200 from Sainsbury’s in Newbury on November 14, 2020, and admitted stealing electrical items worth £229 from Sainsbury’s in Newbury on November 16, 2020. Commission of further offence wile subject to a conditional discharge order for three charges of theft. Sentenced to 18 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months due to severity of offence. Also ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge.

AMANDA BASDEN, 40, of Coronation Square, Reading, admitted stealing two pairs of socks worth £10 from Boots at Reading Train Station on September 9, 2020. Also admitted stealing a bottle of Hugo Boss fragrance worth £60 from John Lewis in Reading on October 5, 2020. Given a conditional discharge for 32 weeks. Also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge and £60 compensation.

JOHN O’DONNELL, 50, of Basingstoke Road, Reading, admitted common assault in Reading on January 26, 2021. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £21 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

NIGEL EIGHTEEN, 51, of Hexham Road, Reading, admitted stealing two jackets worth £138 from Marks an Spencer in Reading on November 19, 2019. Also admitted stealing seven jackets worth £54.50 from Marks and Spencer inn Reading on November 19, 2019. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £275 compensation.

RUTH HAYWARD, 55, of Hexham Road, Reading, admitted stealing two jackets worth £138 from Marks an Spencer in Reading on November 19, 2019. Also admitted stealing seven jackets worth £54.50 from Marks and Spencer inn Reading on November 19, 2019. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £275 compensation.
