EMERGENCY services were called to a number of fires in West Berkshire last night.
Mortimer Fire Station stated online that crews had to deal with six separate fires in the woods at Wokefield Common, West Berkshire.

A spokesman for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services said: "At 6.14pm on Monday, 1 March, we received a report of a fire on Wokefield Common, off Bunces Lane.
"A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew and a 4x4 vehicle from Mortimer Fire Station were sent to the scene.
"Upon arrival, crews found six separate fires within the reserve.
"Crews worked to extinguish the fire using hose reels.
"Crews were on the scene for around 40 minutes."
