The council is now offering lateral flow tests, which provide results in around 30 minutes, to critical workers.

The scheme aims to prevent asymptomatic critical workers from transmitting the virus without realising.

It has set up testing centres at Highwood Copse Primary School, Thatcham Rugby Club, Hungerford Rugby Club and Burghfield Community Sports Association.
