Newbury Clay Hill is the area of West Berkshire that recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases last week.

Public Health England has broken down the data to show the number of confirmed cases recorded in local neighbourhoods, which are known as Middle Super Output Areas (MSOAs).

The latest figures show 273 people tested positive for the virus in West Berkshire between January 28 and February 4. That’s 33 fewer than in the previous week.

In Newbury Clay Hill, 23 people tested positive for Covid-19.

There were 19 confirmed cases in Newbury Central and Greenham, 17 in Westwood and 16 in Calcot North and Little Heath.

Streatley and Pangbourne recorded 16 cases and Newbury South West recorded 15.

There were 14 confirmed cases in Thatcham South East and Bradfield, 13 in Calcot South and another 13 in Theale and Beenham.

  • Lambourn and Great Shefford – 3

West Berkshire’s seven-day infection rate stands at 172.3 cases per 100,000 people and it has been falling steadily since it peaked at 422.2 on January 4.
