A FIGHT which broke out in Newbury between a group of men was reported to police after one was seen carrying a knife.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) are now appealing for witnesses to the fight, which took place at around 9.10pm on Saturday (February 6), in an alleyway between Courtlands Road and Greenham Road, Newbury.

Investigating officer PC Malcolm Miller, based at Newbury police station said: “I am appealing for any further witnesses of this incident, or anyone who has any information, to please get in touch.

An 18 year old man from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and drug possession, and has since been released under investigation.
