THROUGHOUT the pandemic police officers have continued to respond to thefts across the area including bike thefts.
Looking back at data from the police.uk website, we have decided to reveal which local area reported the highest number of bike thefts in November 2020 - the latest month in which figures are available.
The data reveals that the Abbey/Battle area of Reading had the highest number of bike thefts with 21 reported cases in November 2020.

This area stretches from the River Thames to Tilehurst Road and from Norcot to Newtown.
The highest number of bike thefts were reported on or near shopping areas.
The east Reading area including Redlands had the second highest number of bike theft reports with eight cases.
This was followed by Earley with three cases of bike theft.
