The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Courts:

December 2

MICHAEL FICETOLA, 40, of Basingstoke Road, Greenham, admitted two charges of assault by beating in Berkshire on May 1, and June 21. Given a community order and made subject to a restraining order. Ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and 85 court costs.

HANNAH MCKENZIE, 24, of Hawkdon Way, Earley, admitted drink-driving in Winnersh Road, Reading, on March 12. Found to have 91mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, the legal limit being 80mg. Fined £415. Also ordered to pay £41 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months.

FREDERICK WALSH, 48, of Burbridge Close, Reading, admitted stealing £181 worth of alcohol from Waitrose in Thatcham on January 28, 2020. Also admitted stealing £123 chocolate from Sainsbury’s in Thatcham on January 11, 2020. Given a community order to comply with electronic monitoring curfew requirements for eight weeks. Also ordered to pay £231 compensation.

December 3

ALAN JONES, 73, of Long Lane, West Berkshire, admitted drink-driving in Everington Lane, West Berkshire, on October 16. Found to have 53mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £150. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

DEAN EVANS, 30, of Gas Works Road in Reading, convicted of assault by beating in Reading on September 14, 2019. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation requirements and to undertake 70 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £150 compensation. Must pay £90 victim surcharge and £775 court costs.

KEVIN AHERN, 34, of London Road, Reading, admitted going equipped for theft by having a ratchet and stolen number plates displayed on an incorrect car in Bracknell on December 2. Also admitted driving without due care and attention in Rosedale Crescent, Earley, on December 2, and failing to stop when ordered to by police on the same day. Also admitted driving without the correct insurance or licence on the same occasion. Sentenced to three weeks in prison due severity of offence.

KIRK FELL, 36, of Chiltern View, Reading, convicted of assault by beating on October 20. Sentenced to prison for 84 days due to severity of offence. Made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £28 victim surcharge.

SHANE TIPPER, of no fixed abode, admitted drug-driving in Tilehurst Road, Reading, on November 24, 2019. Found to have cocaine in his blood. Fined £180. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £135 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

December 4

JADE RUSSELL, 32, of Hadrians Walk East, Reading, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements following release from prison on June 29, July 9, and July 15. Sentenced to seven days in prison.

RYAN SPENCE, 33, of Kingsley Close, Reading, admitted harassment without violence between April 12 to May 12. Given a community order to comply with 50 hours of unpaid work and made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £95 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Also admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence in Letcombe Street on May 11, and admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance on the same occasion.
