A WOMAN has been sexually assaulted in Caversham after reports of a man knocking on doors nearby.
Thames Valley Police said the woman was attacked in the area about 4pm yesterday (January 15).
Officers also said it was reported that before the offence the attacker was seen knocking on doors around Ian Mikardo Way.

He is believed to have been asking if residents wanted their windows cleaned.
Thames Valley Police has since arrested a 66-year-old man, from Guildford, in connection with the incident. He remains in custody.
Investigating officer, PC Luke Stoneman said: “If you saw a man acting suspiciously in Caversham on Friday, knocking on doors and asking if residents wanted their windows cleaned, then we want to hear from you.

“Further, if you have doorbell, CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage in and around the area of Ian Mikardo Way, then please contact police as soon as possible by calling 101 or visiting our website, quoting reference 43210019520."
