The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Courts

November 25: 

CHARLOTTE SYKES, 33, of Basingstoke Road, Reading, admitted assault by beating of a special constable in Reading on April 29. Fined £180. Also ordered to pay £75 compensation and £34 victim surcharge. 

CALLUM BROWN, 18, of Dickens Walk, Newbury, convicted of failing to give information to the identification of the driver of a vehicle when required, in Newbury on February 2. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £100 court costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

JERMAINE RICHARDSON, 33, of Liverpool Road, Reading, admitted stalking involving serious alarm or distress in Reading from January 1, 2019, to February 10, 2020. Given a community order including rehabilitation activity requirement and made subject to a restraining order. Also ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge, £85 court costs. 

HARVEY EDWARDS, 18, of Granville Road, Reading, convicted of possession of cannabis in Reading on May 3, 2019. Given a community order including 120 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge and £600 court costs.

November 26:

KARL MANNING, 35, of Willow Street, Reading, admitted using racially-aggravated threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Reading on January 14, 2020. Also admitted stealing two bottles of wine worth £6.19 from Marks and Spencer at Reading Railway Station on October 14, 2019. Fined £170 total. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge.

MARK OSBOURNE, 44, of Goldsmid Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving on Nine Mile Ride, Bracknell, on July 31. Found to have 69mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 20 months. 

CHANTELLE FLITCROFT, 19, of Addington Road, Reading, admitted three charges of assault by beating in Reading on October 27, 2019. Also admitted assault by beating of a police officer in Reading on October 27, 2019. Sentenced to 20 weeks in prison suspended by 18 months. Also ordered to pay £200 total compensation.

November 27:

DARREN GILES, 39, of Pages Garden, Reading, convicted of failing to pay for a train ticket worth £3.80 in Reading on December 12, 2019. Fined £110. Also ordered to pay £3.80 compensation, £32 victim surcharge and £110 court costs. 

KURT LANCASTER, 21, of Oxford Road, Tilehurst, convicted of failing to pay for a train ticket worth £9.10 in Thatcham on December 12, 2019. Fined £110. Also ordered to pay £9.10 compensation, £32 victim surcharge and £110 court costs. 

November 30:

SAM COOPER, 31, of Somerton Grove, Thatcham, admitted drink-driving on Somerton Grove, Thatcham, on October 10. Found to have 58mcg alcohol per 100ml breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35mcg. Fined £500. Also ordered to pay £50 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 16 months. 

GLENROY BENTLEY, 53, of Corwen Road, Tilehurst, convicted of driving without third party insurance on Wellington Road, Sandhurst, on May 26. Fined £300. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £300 court costs. Disqualified from driving for six months. 

JOEY COLE, 26, of Southend Road, Bradfield, admitted failing to comply with a community order by not undertaking unpaid work requirements on February 23 and March 8. Court order varied. Fined £60. Also ordered to pay £60 court costs. 

DAWN LYNCH, 46, of Crescent Road, Reading, admitted failing to comply with a community order by not attending appointments on August 14 and August 26. Fined £60. Also ordered to pay £60 court costs. 

JAKE SKINNER, 20, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted failing to comply with a community order by not attending telephone appointments on June 24, and July 6, and an office visit on August 24. Court order varied. Also ordered to pay £60 court costs.
