A RESIDENT has expressed her fears that a kitten has been abandoned having found an empty cardboard box in the woods.
Sharon was walking with her daughter when she found an empty box in Louse Hill Woods in Tilehurst today.
On the top of the box it says "kitten" and on the side it appears to say: "Her name is Pinkie.

"Please look after her.
"She's friendly.
"We couldn't have her anymore because we didn't have room."
Sharon said when she found the "very tiny box" it was open and damp.
She said: "It broke my daughter's heart."
The pair spent an hour searching for the kitten but couldn't find anything.
Sharon is hoping somebody took it home.
