Clay's - Hyderabadi Kitchen, Reading (5*)

Rated a perfect score on TripAdvisor, Clay's describes itself on social media as "a Hyderabadi cuisine based restaurant in Reading - with a combined menu from the Royal kitchens of Nizams of Hyderabad along with food from the streets."

One glowing review said the food there is "beautiful." They added: "Food is so fresh and authentic, and very different from your usual Indian restaurants.

"Great to see a family run independent doing well in Reading.

"Menu changes regularly but the spicy stir fried fish starter is worth checking out. When I visit visited for my birthday earlier in the year I had duck samosas, which I hope make a return as they were fab. Oh, and the tandoori king prawns!

"Delicious food and brilliant service."

Burrito & Tequila, Bracknell (4*)

Available on Deliveroo, the Mexican restaurant has something for all tastes, with a list of alcoholic beverages available.

One glowing review said: "Ok, so I usually take photos of my food but believe you me, this food was so tasty I didn't even manage to get my phone and it was all gone within minutes.

"If you are thinking it has not many reviews so you will pass it- DONT! You won't be disappointed.

"I've ordered 3x burritos, tacos and fries.

"All came hot, burritos was amazingly tasty, tacos too.

"Delivered within 40minutes on Friday night, I think it is because this is still new place and not many people knows about it.

"This is hidden gem. I hope you will keep high standards as there is not many places like this in Bracknell."

Burghfield Spices, Reading (4.5*)

Described online as a 'favourite local Indian restaurant situated in the teeny tiny Burghfield Village', it is clear that this restaurant is popular with take-away experts in Reading.

During lockdown, Burghfield Spices also proudly donated 500 quality meals to our NHS heroes at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and Prospect Park Hospital, showing it's commitment to the community.

One reviewer said: "Hot and tasty meal delivered to the house.

"There was nothing amiss at all and every dish was tasty."

Robyn's nest cafe, Bracknell (4*)

Reading Chronicle:

Now that lockdown two has begun, the popular cafe based in Moss End Garden Village, Maidenhead Road, will be selling its much-loved afternoon teas as well as brunch for collection.

One reviewer said: "Absolutely amazing!

"Me and my other half come here all the time!

"The food is always hot and fresh. Sarah is always going out of her way to help, she is the best!"

The Lyndhurst, Reading (4.5*)

The Lyndhurst is a local pub described as having "lots of natural wood and exposed bricks, with real ales and an unpretentious menu."

The pub has confirmed it will be available for collection during the month-long lockdown.

One glowing review reads: "Just had four starters from The Lyndhurst.

"Absolutely delicious. Spanish scotch eggs are different but really tasty.

"Light sausage meat with a hint of chorizo round soft-boiled eggs.

"The chilli nachos were amazing. Probably enough for us on their own. Will definitely go again."

Fifty Six, Wokingham (4.5*)

Wine bar Fifty Six delivers from Wednesdays to Saturdays.

Available on Deliveroo, you can choose from a variety of food as well as a whole host of whites, reds, roses and sparklings to be delivered straight to your door!

A recent review said: "I thought I would support a local business at this difficult time for all.

"Not a completely selfless act as I purchased wine and got free and very speedy delivery.

"The free extras are a sign of the times and made me smile.

"Stay safe all, and remember the businesses that should have our support when the time is right."

Quattro, Reading (4.5*)

The restaurant's website says Quattro is "independent and family run for more than 30 years," and "the ideal place to relax and enjoy authentic Italian food, whatever the occasion."

One review reads: "We don't often go for a take away as they are often disappointing, but Quattro’s pizzas definitely buck that trend.

"The service was dead on time, an the food just perfect. We will definitely be going back for more of the same."

The restaurant has confirmed it will available for deliveries during lockdown.

The Leafy Elephant, Wokingham (3.5*)

This popular and relatively new gin bar makes an incredible array of drinks, combining the best flavours and garnishes to suit your taste.

You can now order drinks from here to be delivered if you're in Wokingham, Bracknell or some surrounding towns.

After selecting your gin from the extensive menu, you will be brought your drink along with the tonic and toppings which compliment your choice the most.
