The pub's general manager Gary Davis said he was thinking about different ways to get people into the pub and had this idea.

It costs people £20 per person per day to hire a table.

This includes free tea and coffee all day plus a lunch dish from the light bites menu.

People have access to power and wifi and tables are big enough for three people to socially distance whilst working together.

The scheme started a couple of weeks ago and Mr Davis said they have received "really positive feedback from everybody".

He said: "It’s just a nice way for people to get out the same four walls."

The pub has a few regular workers who come in twice a week to work.

Secluded tables are also available for people to sit at.

The pub is open to regular customers too and has various safety measures in place to protect staff and customers.

Mr Davis said these include hand sanitiser stations inside the pub, a one way system and tables are spaced apart.

Customers details are also taken for Track and Trace and staff wear masks.

Speaking about the 10pm curfew imposed on pubs and restaurants, Mr Davis said: "We are really lucky we were never really a late night venue.

"It hasn’t affected us dramatically.”
