A BIKE has been seized after a 23-month old was hurt in a crash with a cyclist in Reading town centre.

A 1,000 watt motor was surrendered to officers investigating the collision, and as the motor did not meet UK law, it has been sent for destruction.

It comes after a toddler was taken to hospital after the crash on Sunday, October 11.

The rider stopped briefly at the scene but then rode away without leaving his details.

Police have now said that the child sustained a head injury and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital by officers.

She was discharged several hours later and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police originally published a CCTV image of a cyclist they hoped to speak to in connection with the crash.
