A CUSTOMER had a surprise delivery as police arrived to hand over their kebab after arresting the takeaway driver en route.

Thames Valley Police Roads Policing said officers in Woodley stopped a driver who had 'previously been persued by police days prior'.

Officers, tweeting the details on Friday, said the driver gave false details, had no insurance or licence, had the cord exposed on the car's tyres, and had been drug-driving.

TVP Wokingham seized the car and arrested the driver.

But officers didn't want to let the takeaway customers down and went on to deliver the kebab to the right recipients just 'three houses away'.
