WE are living in truly unprecedented times.

A global epidemic has wrought death and devastation while impacting the economies of powerful countries.

However instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.

Certainly since lockdown began people across the world have become more creative, either out of necessity for work purposes or through finding new hobbies in their new found free time,

It is safe to say our local area has not been so well-explored for decades as more and more people take to the great outdoors.

Our camera club members have shown the way, chronicling each week of passing lockdown and sharing their work for posterity.

Certainly the images of our local area have helped assure many of our readers and provided some much needed respite from the bombardment of bad news which has dominated 2020.

These images can be of anything which inspires.

From the nature around us to ancient monuments and relics of a bygone age.

All tell us one thing.

Humanity has endured before and we will continue to do so.

Even the Romans said: “Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”

And we should always look ahead with optimism for even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
