LONDON Road has been closed for emergency repairs today (October 21).
Without use of the major road, slow traffic and congestion has built up.

The repairs are taking place on the A4 London Road Eastbound between A329 King's Road (Cemetery Junction) and A3290 (Sutton Seeds Roundabout).
Traffic is increasing up to King's Road past The Hope and Bear Pub.
Some Reading Buses services have had to be diverted, including 13, 14, 500, which will now be travelling via Wokingham Road.
The company said to expect delays to services.

The closure was first reported just before 9am.
It is not yet known how long the closure is expected to last.
