CHANGES are being made to Reading Buses' timetable, the company has confirmed.

There will be some changes to Green Line 702 and 703 from Monday, November 2.

The company said the main change sees Green Line 703 having an amended route with buses now running via Colnbrook between Langley and Heathrow Airport in response to discussions with the local parish council.

This will maintain a regular link between Colnbrook and Heathrow terminal five that has been developed by sister company Thames Valley Buses route 459 in partnership with Heathrow Airport and Slough Borough Council.

One journey will also link Colnbrook with Churchmead School during term time.

These changes will mean minor amendments to all times along the route with customers advised to check the timetable for full details.

Green Line 702 sees some of the early morning and late evening journeys that extend to/from Reading running more direct via the M4 to Slough.

There are other changes to some times to help improve reliability.

Robert Williams, Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer, said: “The new timetable change aims to improve connections and reliability whilst maintaining the great service that customers know and love.

“We have made sure that both the Green Line 702 and 703 routes work closely together to maximise links, connections and capacity at key times.

“The fares on both services remain the same with the best value tickets available on the Green Line app – customers just need to search 'Green Line 702' in the app or play store.”

Robert added: “This is also a winter timetable with further enhancements planned for the summer tourist season once the post-Covid arrangements become known.”
