Georgina Coyle is the owner of Georgina's Vintage Couture which used to have a shop in Harris Arcade in Reading.

Ms Coyle explained she gave birth to her daughter last year and wanted to be a full time mum whilst running the shop.

However, she said she "struggled to keep the shop afloat" and decided she would close the shop in May this year when the tenancy ended.

Now the shop is online only so that Ms Coyle can look after her daughter whilst working from home too.

Since switching to an online only business, she revealed sales increased about April time which lasted until August.

Ms Coyle said business "has taken off and been really popular".

She believes this is linked to the lockdown and said: "I think there was a lot more shopping online because people were more house bound."

Currently, clothes are being stored in a warehouse and at Ms Coyle's home.

She is planning to have an office in the attic where she will store the clothes in the future.

There is also the hope that one day customers will be able to browse the clothes at her home.

Ms Coyle revealed her passion for vintage started when she was young.

She said her parents used to take her to National Trust houses where she loved the fashion.

She also used to buy items from car boot sales and decided to sell them on.

Her shop sells items for men and women and includes dresses, accessories such as jewellery, bags, shoes and homewares.

Ms Coyle has been running the business since 2010 where she used to sell items on market stalls and at vintage fairs.

The shop then opened in 2017.

Ms Coyle said she was "more than ready to close up" the shop in order to look after her daughter.

"It was just the next stage for me.

"I wasn’t sad I was excited about it", she added.
