THE MOST expensive towns to live in Berkshire been revealed - and it shows where homes are going for the most amount of cash.

Latest data from property website Zoopla has compared how much the average home sold for last year acorss the higest valued towns.

Over a twelve month period, the data has revealed how each Berkshire town compares.

Crowthorne tops the list of the highest valued towns, with the average house costing £501,611.

Here is how other ‘high value’ towns compare:

·         Wokingham – average house price: £489,645

·         Reading – average house price: £419,752

·         Sandhurst – average house price: £411,943

·         Bracknell – average house price: £383,788

·         Slough – average house price: £375,688

The average prices for proerties in these area were taken from October 2020.

The highest valued town, Crowthorne, stood at an average of £501,611 - this is a rise of 0.55 per cent in the last three months (since July 2020) and fall of 2.06 per cent since 12 months ago.

In terms of property types, flats in Crowthorne sold for an average of £247,153 and terraced houses for £353,207. This is according to the current Zoopla estimates.

Using the same data, Wokingham saw a fall of 0.30 per cent in the last three months and fall of 6.33 per cent since 12 months ago. Flats here sold for an average of £269,894 and terraced houses for £338,858.

Reading saw a rise of 0.07 per cent in the last three months and fall of 2.55 per cent since 12 months ago. Flats in Reading sold for an average of £243,312 and terraced houses for £308,622.

Sandhurst also saw a rise in three months, of 1.95 per cent, as well as a rise of 7.96 per cent in 12 months. Flats in the town sold for an average of £210,640 and terraced houses for £306,280.

Bracknell saw a rise of 0.61 per cent in three months, and fall of 3.22 per cent in 12 months. Flats Bracknell sold for an average of £231,496 and terraced houses for £307,272.

Slough’s data shows a rise of 0.51 per cent in three months and a fall of 3.61 per cent since 12 months ago. Flats sold for an average of £216,488 and terraced houses for £316,556.
