A man is wanted in connection to an 'upskirting' incident in Tesco, Reading.

Police officers have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following the incident on August 12.

Between 7.20pm and 7.40pm, a man was seen holding a laptop bag close to two teenage girls in the Tesco store in Portman Road.

The two girls then moved away from the man.

The man was spoken to by staff and left the store.

Investigating officer PC Jake Newton, based at Reading police station, said: “We are continuing to investigate a report of upskirting and are appealing for anyone who has any information which could assist our investigation.

"While incidents of this nature are rare, we appreciate this may cause some members of the community to be concerned, however we take reports of incidents of this nature very seriously.

“As part of our enquiries, we would like to speak to the man shown in the CCTV image, as he may have important information which could assist our investigation.”
