Two 14-year-old girls are missing from home.
Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of teenagers, Alicia Bowler and Hope Williams, who are both new to the Rossendale area.
According to officers, the girls were last seen just after 10pm on Saturday near the town hall in Accrington town centre.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of two missing 14-year-olds girls, Alicia Bowler and Hope Williams, who are both new to the Rossendale area.
"Alicia and Hope were last seen just after 10pm on Saturday near the Town Hall in Accrington Town Centre.
"Alicia is a white female, aged 14, 5ft 6inch tall, of slim build with recently dyed purple/red hair.
"She was last seen wearing a black top, a cream puffa jacket with a fur hood, black leggings and trainers.
"Hope is a white female aged 14, 5ft 5inch tall, with shoulder length brown hair.
"She wears glasses and was last seen wearing light denim jeans, a beige coloured jumper, white trainers, and had a navy backpack with rainbow coloured straps."
Police are now appealing for help to trace the youngsters.
