'JOY-RIDERS' have caused serious damage to the football pitches in Earley this week.
Deep tyre marks were spotted in the Chalfont Park sports pitches, Chalfont Way, Earley, on Monday, causing costly damage to the facilities.
Cllr Andrew Mickleburgh said: "It is really upsetting that over the weekend damage was done to the sports pitches by people ‘joy-riding’ in cars on them.

"The attached photo shows just one area of damage.
"I have logged this with our Police Community Support Officers and asked Wokingham Borough Council to send contractors to see what repair work needs to be carried out.
"and to look at installing sturdy wooden bollards along the edge of the car park, similar to the bollards recently installed at the end of nearby Hilmanton.

"Please do contact the police on 999 if you witness this sort of behaviour actually taking place at the time of your call, or 101 if you have information about anti-social behaviour that has already taken place locally."
