RESIDENTS have been left without power for more than a day in some parts of Reading following outages over the weekend.

Several postcodes in Earley, Sonning and other parts of Reading and Wokingham have faced power cuts throughout the weekend and today (Monday, October 5).

Areas affected include the RG4 and RG6 areas, where some homes have been without power since 10am yesterday.

Power here is expected to be restored by 3pm today.

SSE said it is sorry for the loss of supply in these locations.

The company added: "We currently have a fault affecting the areas listed.

"Our engineers are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.

Some parts of Bracknell, including the RG12 area, lost power this morning at around 8.20am.

This is expected to be fixed by 7pm.

Around the same time this morning, parts of Wokingham, Winnersh and Earley also faced a powercut, which SSE expects to fix by 1.10pm.

In Burghfield, power was lost at around 9am today.

SSE expects a return of power to this area by 2.30pm.
